Lydia Bergida – Program Director

Lydia Bergida studied law in Cologne and has been working in this field as an independent lawyer, mediator and coach since 2002. At EJKA, she directed the Jewish Family Center “Mishpacha” as well as the international “Global Jewish Peoplehood Program Trialogue” from 2010 to 2015. In 2015, she took over the educational supervision and consultation of Nevatim Grassroots initiatives and project coordination. Since 2016, she has been in charge of the Munich, Berlin and Duisburg (NRW) locations as program director of EJKA.

Maximilian Feldmann – Press and Public Relations Officer

Maximilian Feldmann was born in Belarus and grew up in Germany. He studied Oriental/Middle Eastern Studies at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, at the Ben-Gurion University in Beer Sheva (Israel), and Religious and Cultural Studies at the Ludwig- Maximilians-University Munich. Since January 2019, he has strengthened the EJKA team as a press officer, public relations and supervises several projects of the EJKA against anti-Semitism.

Vitaly Novikov – Media Project Manager

Vitaly Novikov studied public relations and marketing. His field of activity includes creation and curation of various media products. Vitaly
is responsible for media issues at EJKA.

Olga Kotlytska – Project Manager

Olga Kotlytska was born in Kharkov, where she studied Russian language and literature and worked as a travel journalist. She has lived in Munich since 2005 and has published the Russian-language magazine “Bei uns in Bayern” since 2011. Olga Kotlytska has been involved in EJKA programs since 2012 and has been leading the project “YouthBridge Munich” since 2017.

Ella Nilova – Director of the Janusz Korczak House Berlin

A native of Zaporozhye and Berliner by choice, Ella Nilova holds a degree in education and has worked in the field of Jewish education for over 20 years. Since 2006, she has led the annual international youth exchange “Jüdisches ArtEck” for children and young people from Israel, Germany, Russia and the USA. Ella Nilova’s enthusiasm is for informal educational work. She also plans and develops social and educational activities for different age groups. Since 2017, she has been leading the project “Respect – Dialogue – Participation: Meeting Conflict with Janusz Korczak.”

Jonas Mages – Specialist consultant and project manager

Jonas Mages studied sociology, history and peace and conflict management in Munich and Haifa. His work and research focuses on anti-Semitism, conspiracy myths, German-Israeli relations, Jewish history and the history of National Socialism. Most recently, he was active in restitution work and provenance research in Haifa.

Miriam Vynograd – Project Management

Miriam Vynograd was born in Ukraine and has lived in Munich since 1999. She studied classical languages and pedagogy at Kharkiv State University (Ukraine) and Jewish Studies at Yad Rama Seminary in Bournemouth (England). Among other things, she designed and taught a conversation course on Jewish topics for immigrants from the former USSR. After working as a freelance English teacher in adult education, Miriam Vynograd joined the European Janusz Korczak Academy in November 2020 in project management.

Dr. Julia Berger – Project Manager Finance

Dr. Julia Berger was born in Kharkov, Ukraine.
She has lived and worked in Germany for almost 30 years. As a lecturer for Russian as a foreign language, as well as a businesswoman in wholesale and foreign trade and EU business economist, she has gained several years of practical experience. She has been applying her pedagogical as well as commercial knowledge at EJKA since 2019 as an independent employee in the project “YouthBridge Munich”.
Her area of responsibility includes the management, financial processing and reporting of the above-mentioned project.

Ekaterina Pynzar – Project Assistance Finances

Ekaterina was born in Russia. She graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Management and Economics and already gained a lot of experience as an accountant in Russia.
Since November 2020 she supports the EJKA – team as project assistant for finances.

Jan-Bernd Meyer – Press and Public Relations Officer

Jan-Bernd Meyer studied History, American Studies, Modern German Literature and Journalism in Würzburg, Austin/Texas, Munich and Düsseldorf. As a journalist/editor, he worked for the Bertelsmann publishing house and the US publishing group International Data Group on topics from the field of economics and, in particular, information technology. He supports the programme directorate and press and public relations work on a voluntary basis.

Magdalena Koch – Project Coordinator, Event management

Born in Austria, she had worked for a decade in data processing at the German Bundesbank. For almost three decades, she was responsible for budget and cost control as assistant to the publishing director at International Data Corp, Germany’s leading information technology publishing house at the time. Magdalena Koch is currently project coordinator in the “FrauenInsel” project, as well as responsible for various administrative and organisational tasks at EJKA e.V..
